Welcome to our daily transfer rumour round-up. Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is making headlines today, after he signed a new long-term deal at the club. The German manager is looking to sign a certain Real Madrid player, whilst Manchester City have made huge offer for a Juventus player.

Former Manchester United player tells his teammates that he wants to return to the club, and Juventus are preparing a bid for an Arsenal star.

Here are the transfer rumours doing the rounds on July 8th:


Serie A

Juventus are keen on signing Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez to replace Alvaro Morata. According to Tuttosport, the Serie A club are ready to offer €30m plus €5m in bonuses for the player, but Arsenal have rejected the bid.

Manchester City have made a €60m offer for Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci, reports Corriere Dello Sport. The player has also been offered a five-year contract worth €8m a year, but Juventus are ready to reject any bids from the Premier League giants.

Stoke City are ready to offer €12m-€13m for Juventus star Mario Lemina, reports Sport Italia. The Serie A club will evaluate the offer in the coming days. Lemina has also been linked with a move to Leicester City.

Rumours of Paul Pogba edging closer to a move to Manchester United is gaining momentum

– According to French newspaper L’Equipe, Paul Pogba has expressed his desire to return to Manchester United. His agent, Mino Raiola, is already in talks with Ed Woodward, and Pogba has told his teammates that he wants to go back to the Premier League club.

– Spanish daily Marca reckon Jose Mourinho is ready to do anything to sign Paul Pogba at Manchester United. It is reported United could pay as much as €100m for the player, but Juventus want around €160m.

– Southampton star Graziano Pelle is generating interest from Chinese club Shandong. According to TMW, Pelle is close to completing a €40m move to Shandong, which also includes his wages.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has signed a new six-year deal at the club. Fenway Sports Group are delighted with the impact the German manager has made in the last few months and have rewarded him with a new long-term deal.

“It’s hard to express in words how honoured myself, Zeljko and Peter feel by the commitment shown in us by the ownership and the club in general,” he said.

La Liga

Is Juan Mata on his way to Barcelona?

– Spanish daily Sport reckon Manchester United star Juan Mata was offered to Barcelona, but they are not interested in signing him. Valencia are in the race to snap him up, but Everton are in pole position.

– According to Marca, Liverpool are interested in signing Real Madrid youngster Marco Asensio. The 20-year-old spent the last season on loan at Espanyol, and has at least 20 offers on his table. Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is reportedly a huge admirer of the youngster.

Barcelona are interested in signing Belgian star Yannick Ferreira-Carrasco. According to Cadena star, the Catalan giants might have to pay as much as €40m to Atletico Madrid for the player. Carrasco’s former club, AS Monaco, are entitled to 25 per cent of any sell-on fee.

Neven Subotic
Neven Subotic has been linked with a move to Middlesbrough

– According to Gazzette Live, Middlesbrough are in talks to sign Borussia Dortmund star Neven Subotic. The newly promoted Premier League side are already negotiating with the Serbian star, and could complete a deal for around €9m.

Tottenham are close to completing a deal for AZ Alkmaar striker Vincent Janssen. According to De Telegraaf, Janssen is expected to be in London today to complete his medicals, and a deal could be announced on Monday. The Eredivisie club have asked Tottenham to pay €22m for his services.

According to ESPN, Arsenal are close to signing Wolfsburg star Julian Draxler. The Gunners have reportedly agreed to pay a sum of €50m for his services. Draxler was in impressive form for Germany during the Euros in France.
