After an eventful weekend with Real Madrid winning the UEFA Champions League, the domestic European season has now come to an end. Clubs across the continent are now gearing up for their next season and there are some shocking transfer rumours coming in with managers looking to sign the perfect player to their club.

With Zlatan Ibrahimovic dismissing rumours regarding a move to Manchester United and Bayern Munich refusing to sell their star striker Robert Lewandowski, the transfer market is once again buzzing and here are the list of transfer news and rumours for the day.

Serie A

Mario Balotelli was on loan with AC Milan

Mario Balotelli has been linked with a move to Lazio if the club sign Cesare Prandelli as their new coach, according to Calciomercato. This comes after reports were released stating that Milan had told Liverpool they didn’t want to sign the striker permanently or on loan for the upcoming season. Balotelli's agent Mino Raiola had earlier allegedly held preliminary talks with Lazio over a potential move.

Juventus are reportedly all set to announce the signing of Dani Alves from Barcelona the coming week, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport. The Italian media outlet reported that the 33-year-old could join as a free agent from June 5 according to the clause in his deal with the Spanish side. Alves has supposedly been offered a three-year deal by the Serie A club.

Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri stated that he hope Alvaro Morata would stay with the club this summer. When asked about the striker by Italian channel Rai, Allegri mentioned that he certainly hoped so and said, “If I were him, I'd stay at Juventus. Now he's at the European Championship. Let's hope he will come back. I'd like everyone to stay."

English Premier League

  • Reece Oxford is the latest promising youngster to come out from the West Ham Academy

    West Ham is all set to consider the offer from Manchester United for their teenager Reece Oxford, according to reports by the Daily Mail. The Hammers are apparently considering the bid from the Reds for the young defender valued at £15million. The 17-year-old had made 12 appearances for West Ham last season and had shown promising skill on the pitch. The club had offered Reece a new deal but had not been finalised as his agent was gunning for more money.

  • Arsene Wenger is reportedly ready to allow Calum Chambers to leave Arsenal on loan next season, according to the Telegraph. The Gunners boss is now in search of a fresh centre-back, and will let the England Under-21 player depart on loan in a bid to get some much-needed game time.
  • Everton veterans Leon Osman and Tony Hibbert reportedly stated that they will wait until the club appoint a new manager before deciding on their futures at the club, according to the Liverpool Echo. The pair is both on the fringes of the first team at Goodison Park and are out of contract next month.

  • In a shocking news, Juan Mata has been linked with a transfer from Manchester United to Barcelona in a £26million summer move, according to reports in Spain. With Jose Mourinho taking over as the Old Trafford boss had raised questions over Mata's long-term prospects as he had been sold to the Red Devils by the then Chelsea boss in 2014. According to Mundo Deportivo, the 28-year-old was in Barcelona last week and is reportedly keen on a return to his native Spain.
  • According to Spanish sports site to El Desmarque Vigo, Celta Vigo centre-half Sergio Gomez is being chased by QPR and Fulham. It seems that the west London rivals are in talks to sign the defender, and a £4.6 million bid has been lodged by one of them. Though the bidder was not revealed, it is more likely to be Fulham after the club was released from its transfer embargo this week.
  • James Rodriguez has said that he wants to stay with Real Madrid despite losing his position in the starting line-up, putting an end to his transfer rumours. The Colombian had remained on the bench during Real's penalty shoot-out win over Atletico Madrid in the Champions League final on Saturday. James had only 21 starts for Real this season as the new boss Zinedine Zidane preferred Casemiro in the defensive midfield role.

  • Borussia Dortmund dismissed speculation that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is about to leave, labelling it "nonsense". The 26-year-old had scored 39 goals in all competitions for Dortmund last season and had been linked with a number of top clubs in Europe. Rumours over his future strengthened following news on Saturday morning that Gabon manager Jorge Costa had been asked not to select him against Mauritania because he was in the “process of changing clubs."
  • Bayern Munich old-timers Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben would reportedly be offered extended stays with the German giants once their contracts expire next summer. Chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said that he would not rule out the re-signing of the players, but mentioned that age was a factor with Ribery 33 and Robben 32. Rummenigge added that they will have to wait a bit longer for it as it were with other players over the age of 30.
  • Bayern Munich midfielder Mario Gotze insisted that he was focused solely on the Euros with Germany for the time being and not his future at the Bundesliga club. When asked about his future, Gotze reportedly said "I think enough was written and done. I've said everything about this. Now I'm at the Euros and don't want to say anything about this."
