Real Madrid's top transfer target Mauro Icardi has posted a cryptic photo on Instagram which has sparked rumours of his exit from Inter Milan. The reigning European champions are on the lookout for a striker with €100 million-rated Icardi said to be Madrid's first choice.

Icardi posted a message on Instagram which read: "To say goodbye is to grow.” Many have read between the lines of what Icardi posted on social media and believe that a deal for the Argentinian is set to take place on deadline day. Icardi has scored 18 goals for Inter this season.

Juventus confident of landing Emre Can in the summer

Juventus chief executive Giuseppe Marotta has revealed that talks have started between the club and the player with the Turin side hopeful of signing the midfielder for free in the summer. Emre Can has stalled talks of a contract renewal with Liverpool as he is looking to join the Old Lady next season.

Speaking with RMC Sport (as reported by the Daily Mail), Marotta said, "We are in an optimum position to achieve all the objectives we have set out. Talks are well underway with Emre Can, but the negotiations are not at all concluded."

Pierre Emerick Aubameyang arrives at Arsenal training ground

Arsenal are finally ready to complete the signing of Pierre Emerick Aubameyang. The Gabonese striker was earlier spotted at the Dortmund airport catching a private jet to London and now has been seen entering the Gunners' headquarters.

A £60 million transfer fee is agreed between the two parties with the 28-year-old set to earn £180,000 per week at the Emirates.

But the deal is expected to be announced tomorrow. Aubameyang's signing can be announced until February 2 with the German transfer window remaining open until Friday.

West Bromwich Albion favourites to sign Andre Schurrle

According to Teamtalk, West Brom have emerged as the favourites to land Andre Schurrle on loan before the transfer window ends. Borussia Dortmund are keen on letting the 27-year-old leave with West Brom now emerging as his next destination.

Negotiations are well underway as the Baggies look to secure a second big coup this January after already completing the signing of Daniel Sturridge.

Emerson Palmieri to undergo Chelsea medical today

Sky Sports Italia has revealed that Emerson Palmieri has flown into London and will be seen in Cobham today to complete his medical. A fee of £17.6 million is reportedly agreed between the two parties with £7 million further expected to be added in bonuses.

Palmieri will sign a four year deal with the club but won't be registered in time for tomorrow's home clash against Bournemouth.

Manchester City announce the signing of Aymeric Laporte

Premier League champions-elect have today announced the club record signing of Aymeric Laporte from Athletic Bilbao.

The 23-year-old became the club's most expensive signing till date for £57 million, eclipsing Kevin De Bruyne's record of £55 million set in 2015. Laporte has signed a five-year contract at the Etihad and is expected to make his debut against Burnley on Saturday.

The Gunners are keeping tabs on Atletico Madrid's Yannick Carrasco who has started just seven matches this season and is looking for a move elsewhere in the summer. Carrasco has fallen out of favour in Madrid after playing such a crucial role last season.

Arsenal are ready to take advantage of this season as Mundo Deportivo reports that Arsene Wenger is keen on activating the winger's £85 million release clause with the player having a contract with Atletico until 2020.

Roque Mesa passes Sevilla medical

Marca has reported that Roque Mesa arrived in Seville yesterday and has passed his medical with the club.

The former Swansea midfielder is expected to be unveiled tomorrow. All the parties had wanted to get this deal done with the midfielder particularly interested in making a move back to his homeland.

Monaco vice-president Vadim Vasilyev has reiterated the fact that Thomas Lemar is not for sale this month, ending Liverpool and Arsenal's hopes of landing the 22-year-old. Liverpool were said to be the favourites to land Lemar as a direct replacement for Philippe Coutinho.

Liverpool Echo via RMC have quoted Vasilyev as saying, "He will stay at Monaco until the end of the season 100%. If Liverpool or Arsenal come with a big offer before the end of the market? This is not relevant. We will say no because the objectives are clear."

Anderlecht make a bid for Aleksandar Mitrovic

Newcastle United have received a bid from Anderlecht for the out-of-favour striker Aleksandar Mitrovic, the Chronicle reports. The towering forward is not the first choice at St. James' Park but the Magpies have made it certain that they will not sell Mitrovic for under £15 million.

Rafa Benitez has guaranteed Mitrovic playing time if he stays in Newcastle after failing to land his preferred striking options such as Nicolai Jorgensen and Daniel Sturridge.
