Gerard Pique to sign an extension on Monday

The boyhood Barcelona star Gerard Pique is set to sign a new deal with FC Barcelona which will keep him at Camp Nou until 2022. The club has today announced that Pique will sign on the dotted line on Monday which may effectively see him ending his career in the Blaugrana colours. Furthermore, Pique will have a release clause of €500 million included in his new deal.

Javier Pastore wants a return to Italy

The Argentine midfielder has today confirmed that he is looking for a return to Italy and is ready to snub Premier League interest to start his second stint in Serie A. Pastore played for two years with Palermo before joining PSG in 2011. Inter Milan are said to be the favourites to land him this month.

The Telegraph understands that Spurs have stepped up their pursuit of the 25-year-old Brazilian winger and are confident of landing Moura in the next 48 hours. A consensus is yet to be reached but all the parties stay committed to making this transfer happen before the deadline day. Neymar has been linked with a world record move to Real Madrid in the summer. But Paris Saint-Germain's chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi has dismissed these claims and has maintained that Neymar is happy at the Parc Des Princes.

Speaking to the press after his side's 4-0 win over Montpellier, Al-Khelaifi said, "There is a link between him (Neymar) and the fans. The link with Real? It makes me laugh when I listen to that. These are rumours. You ask me to answer rumours. Will he be there 100 percent next season? Not 100 percent, at 2000 percent."
