The youngsters of Ajax impressed one and all with their sensational performances in the UEFA Champions League last term. Several of their top players have been on the radars of some big clubs and the futures of the likes of Frenkie De Jong and Matthijs De Ligt were the focus of tabloids all over Europe.

Now, the latest addition to that list is the 22-year-old Dutch international Donny van de Beek. Real Madrid have now tabled an offer for van de Beek as they make sure alternatives are in place should Paul Pogba not sign for them this summer.

Pogba and Eriksen remain on top of Real Madrid's list. Zizou wants Pogba while the Real Madrid top brass are more tilted towards Tottenham Hotspur's Christian Eriksen. Donny van de Beek reportedly has 8 offers on the table from top European clubs and is not entirely sold on a move to Real Madrid as he does not believe he will be a guaranteed starter at the Santiago Bernabeu.
