Sean Longstaff is not for sale

Manchester United have lost Marouane Fellaini and Ander Herrera from their midfield and are yet to replace either of them. As such, they have been scouring the market for a top centre-midfielders and all kinds of players have been linked with them in the process.

One of the surprising names on the list has been that of Newcastle United's Sean Longstaff. The youngster, who impressed in the limited opportunities he got, is reportedly one of the players that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to bring as part of enforcing his new philosophy of signing young and hungry players.

However, now Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley has revealed that the club will not sell Sean Longstaff. He reportedly said,

"The message we want to put out is that he is not for sale. If you've got one like Sean – keep him."
