The former Real Madrid striker seemed to have secured a dream move when he chose to move to Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2017. However, things did not work out for him anywhere close to as well as he would have liked and ended up joining Il Rojiblancos in the winter transfer window of 2019 on an 18 month loan.

Morata has now revealed to Marca that he wants to stay put at Atletico Madrid and is keen on securing a permanent transfer.

"I have been clear that I want to be here,"
"It's not even in my head to leave this club. I want it to be resolved as soon as possible, I'm happy here, I want to be here for all the years I have left as a professional. As long as the people love me and are happy with my work, I want to be here. I have found happiness here, I'm where I want to be."
