Manchester United are claimed to have registered an interest in the attacker and look at him as a backup for Romelu Lukaku. The reports are buoyed by the speculation that Zinedine Zidane might take over at the helm at Manchester United at the end of the season.
However, €75 million might be too tall an asking price for a striker well past his prime and walking into the twilight of his career. But Benzema has shown glimpses of getting back to his best this season and Real Madrid are happy to cash in when they can.
