Top transfer rumours of the day: 25th January 2015

Around a week left for the transfer window to close, we take a look at the potential transfer movements across the big clubs in Europe. Today’s transfer rumours involves the likes of David De Gea, Douglas Costa, Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Steven Gerrard.

#1 Manchester United

According to Mirror, Manchester United’s £200,000-a-week offer to David De Gea won’t tempt him to sign a new contract. The Spaniard has told his family and friends that big money deal won’t make him commit his future to Old Trafford. Real Madrid are interested in signing the 24-year-old goalkeeper whose contract expires in 18 months.

According to Telegraph, Darren Fletcher is set to leave Manchester United and sign for West Ham United on a three-and-a-half year deal. United are demanding a fee of around £1.5 million for the Scotland International, but he maybe allowed to leave on a free given his relationship with the club.

According to Daily Star, England right-back Nathaniel Clyne is on his way to Old Trafford, after a scouting team from Manchester United assessed him in Southampton’s 2-1 win against Newcastle United.

Paul Pogba's agent Mino Raiola has revealed that his agent doesn’t hold any grudges against Manchester United. Raiola also claimed Pogba is the most expensive player in the world and only eight clubs can afford him.

Paris Saint-Germain defender Marquinhos’s agent has revealed Manchester United are interested in his client. Louis Van Gaal is keen on bolstering his defensive options and Marquinhos could be on his way to Old Trafford soon.

#2 Liverpool

According to Mirror, Raheem Sterling has rejected another contract offer from Liverpool. The 20-year-old who won the European Golden Boy award has been linked with a move to La Liga giants Real Madrid. Sterling’s current deal has two more years left with the Merseyside outfit. Reports suggest that the England international is looking for a £100,000-a-week deal.

Another report in the Mirror suggest that controversial striker Mario Balotelli could be sold in the summer. Brendan Rodgers revealed he had a “good chat” with Mario Balotelli explaining him the situation why he has been left out of the squad in the recent weeks.

Liverpool and Tottenham target Fabian Delph could be available for £4m, according to reports. Fabian Delph is out of contract in the summer and Liverpool see him as a potential replacement for Steven Gerrard.

#3 Arsenal and Chelsea

According to Metro, Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard is wanted by Chelsea on loan from LA Galaxy once he leaves Liverpool in the summer. It’s no secret Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is a big fan of Steven Gerrard and has tried signing him multiple times.

According to Telegraph, Chelsea have made an offer for Shakhtar Donetsk star Douglas Costa. The London club have offered €25 million for the 24-year-old Brazilian, but Shakhtar are demanding a fee of €40m. Reports also suggest, Juan Cuadrado move to Chelsea has stalled after Fiorentina refused to lower their asking price for the winger.

According to Marca, Asier Illarramendi could be on his way to Emirates. Illarramendi future in is doubt after the arrival of Lucas Silva from Cruzeiro and Arsenal might want to buy him later this month. Reports in Metro suggest the Gunners are also interested in Sami Khedira and Morgan Schneiderlin.

#4 Other Premier League clubs

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, Yaya Toure is ready to leave Manchester City for Inter in the summer. The Italian newspaper suggest the midfielder will cost Inter €9m.

According to Times, West Bromwich boss Tony Pulis has confirmed the club are trying to sign Wigan winger Callum McManaman and Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher.

According to Hull Daily Mail, Hull City are interested in signing Aaron Lennon from Tottenham Hotspurs. Reports suggest that the club have already contacted Tottenham and are looking for a loan move with an option to buy in the summer.

Reports in Daily Mail suggest Alexandre Pato has been offered to Queens Park Rangers. Pato has scored 12 goals in 30 appearances for the Brazilian club.

#5 Real Madrid and other La Liga clubs

According to Globo, Cristiano Ronaldo has admitted he would like to play for either Corinthians or Flamengo one day. Ronaldo has revealed he has many friends in Brazil including former Real Madrid star Kaka.

According to Marca, Real Madrid won’t entertain a swap deal for Machester United goalkeeper David De Gea. Earlier reports suggested a swap deal will take Gareth Bale to Manchester United for €65m plus De Gea. Marca also suggest that David De Gea is happy at Manchester United, but he wants to win trophies.

Apanish newspaper Super Deporte suggest Real Sociedad boss David Moyes is keen on signing Roberto Soldado from Tottenham Hotspurs. Super Deporte also suggest that their are a number of Premier League and La Liga clubs who want to sign Soldado.
