Transfer Talk: Arsenal reportedly agree terms with Swansea skipper Ashley Williams

According to reports in the Daily Mail, Swansea skipper Ashley Williams has agreed to join Arsenal during the summer. The rumours state that the 28-year-old centre back has agreed to a 3-year deal that could see him earn 60,000 pounds a week at the Emirates. The Gunners have also completed preliminary talks with the Swans and expect to pay the Welsh side between 8-10 million pounds to secure the services of Williams.

Williams is admired by Arsenal gaffer Arsene Wenger who had made the signing of a player to fill the centre back spot a priority and it seems that Williams has fit the bill. The signing of Williams may prove to be the end of the road for Thomas Vermaelen‘s career at the Emirates and the Belgian is expected to leave the club this summer.
