It is always a feisty affair when Real Madrid play Bayern Munich and today's clash was no different.Real Madrid headed into the game on the front foot as they had won 2-1 in the first leg in Germany and had 2 valuable away goals in their pocket. Bayern were handed the tough task of going to the Bernabeu and turn the tie in their favour. And, for a moment it seemed the Bavarians' prayers will be answered as they took the lead on the night in the 3rd minute through Joshua Kimmich who pounced on a loose ball inside the box after Madrid failed to clear a cross. However, Madrid slowly started to find their feet and equalised just 8 minutes later. A slow and patient build-up from the home side saw Marcelo's inch-perfect cross being converted by Karim Benzema who was unmarked at the far post.It was a shocking start to the second half from Bayern as goalkeeper Ulreich made a rookie mistake and presented Benzema with an opportunity to make the aggregate score 4-2 and the Frenchman obliged.Bayern needed 2 more goals to qualify and they got one back through James Rodriguez in the 63rd minute to provide a nerve-wracking ending to the game.Bayern applied pressure relentlessly but Madrid stood tall to claim another victory over Bayern as they won the tie 4-3 and marched on to an incredible fourth Champions League final in 5 years. Here's how Twitter reacted:Looking for both the Real Madrid and Bayern Munich defence. tonight like... #RMAFCB pic.twitter.com/Y0hlyKbgJe— Coral (@Coral) May 1, 2018Tonight Bayern Munich fans and Barcelona fans pic.twitter.com/habXFVxunj— JUDAH 🦁 (@Mister_Praise) May 1, 2018Bayern Munich are all over Real Madrid like cheap perfume. #RMABAY #UCL.— Bankole (@banqist) May 1, 2018Referees and other match officials escorting Real Madrid to UEFA Champions League finals in Kyiv.
