Manchester United ended Chelsea’s hopes of retaining the FA Cup after handing the Blues a 2-0 loss at Stamford Bridge on Monday evening. The Red Devils went into the game without a number of their first-team players, but still managed to upset their London opponents. Two well-worked headers from Ander Herrera and Paul Pogba did the magic, as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men returned to winning ways. Denied of the services of Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard due to injury, the Man United manager opted to start an attacking trio of Marcus Rashford, Juan Mata and Romelu Lukaku. However, it was the midfield players who combined to put the Red Devils in the lead in the 31st minute. Pogba’s inch-perfect cross was met by Herrera, who headed past a hapless Kepa Arizzabalaga.Chelsea were more dominant in terms of possession, but Man United doubled their lead right before the half-time whistle. This time, a Rashford cross was headed in by Pogba, although Arizzabalaga could have done better. The second half of the game was much more open, with both teams creating chances in the final third. Unfortunately, though, neither team could add to the scoring as the game ended 2-0 in favour of Man United. The result is the first time in 10 games that the Red Devils have won against Chelsea at the Bridge. More importantly, Solskjaer’s men have now advanced to the quarter-final of the FA Cup, with Chelsea being eliminated. While the Red Devils are celebrating a massive victory, it is agony for all Blues fans who are now reeling from yet another loss following last week’s 6-0 mauling at the hands of Manchester City.Meanwhile, football fans on Twitter have jumped on the bandwagon and are chipping in with comments and trolls.Let’s take a look at some of the best tweets as Man United defeated Chelsea 2-1 in the FA Cup 5th round:Chelsea fans to Sarri pic.twitter.com/tUhdOpHCZr— chelsea 0:2 MANCHESTER UNITED (@thenanaaba) February 18, 2019Antonio Conte right now looking at Chelsea.#CHEMUN #SarriOut pic.twitter.com/o5n6x2nDg3— Ogochukwu ❤️ (@_emmalez) February 18, 2019#CHEMUNHazard to Sarri after Chelsea’s loss to Man Utdpic.twitter.com/eR85cADf16— Omoniyi Israel (@omoissyy) February 18, 2019Higuain and Kepa tonight... #CHEMUN #Chelsea pic.twitter.com/yr2AkoQKHn— PureFinesse (@finesse_pure) February 18, 2019So fukin broken!Worthless players,, jorginho, kovacic,, oh and the coach,, sarri,, there more but ill stop there,#cfc pic.twitter.com/iKKhFIxVBm— JONESYS JUKEBOX (@JonesysJukebox) February 18, 2019#CHEMUNAnytime Chelsea hears Manchester...pic.twitter.com/zPwtnw4aSA— Omoniyi Israel (@omoissyy) February 18, 2019MISSING!
