Both youngsters got on the score sheet for France

While most of the world was monitoring the transfer window with bated breath, France got down to business and thumped Netherlands in an emphatic 4-0 victory.

Antoine Griezmann handed the French their opener, which was soon followed up by a brace from Thomas Lemar and a late goal from Kylian Mbappe.

Lemar and Mbappe have been subjects of intense transfer speculation and their goals have sent Twitter spiraling into a frenzy, as people didn't take long to laud their efforts.

Thomas Lemar has been a long-term target for Arsenal while Kylian Mbappe has just officially completed a move to Paris Saint-Germain on a loan deal with an option to buy next summer.

Of course, Arsenal fans were at their frustrated best, as they were scathing in their criticism of Arsene Wenger and Arsenal for not snapping up Thomas Lemar just hours before the end of the transfer window.

While some fans urged the Gunners to pick up the pace and get a move on in signing Thomas Lemar, others were at their humorous best as they picked apart the North London club for its lack of significant business on deadline day.

Arsenal fans continued to vent their frustration, although all their complaints seem to be falling on deaf ears. The Gunners are yet to sign any new players on deadline day, and have lost Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to Liverpool.

Meanwhile, Kylian Mbappe's fan following seems to have been boosted after the teen sensation scored came off the bench to score his debut goal for France, in the dying minutes of the game

It sure seems like the Frenchman just can't stay away from the spotlight, and fans subsequently took to Twitter to applaud the 18-year old, and applaud they did.

Paris Saint-Germain's latest recruit shone as bright as bright gets and the world reacted almost immediately. Some recognised his brilliance and some lauded Mbappe for disallowing speculation from affecting his game.

Paris Saint-Germain fans were undoubtedly the happiest of the lot, as they await the arrival of their newest acquisition. The thought of Mbappe playing alongside Edinson Cavani and Neymar sure is a mouth-watering prospect for the Ligue 1 side's devout fans.
