Barcelona beat Atletico Madrid 2-0 in a top of the table clash at the Camp Nou in LaLiga. For Barcelona, the goals were scored by Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi. This means that the little Argentine has scored for Barcelona in six consecutive games and Twitter couldn't stop praising the little man's genius.

It was a feisty affair between two big teams and during the early minutes of the game, the away side looked the brighter. Diego Costa saw his headed effort go over the bar before Antoine Griezmann's shot was saved by Marc Andre Ter-Stegan.

But then the match took a drastic turn when Costa was shown a red card for getting in the face of the official. After that incident, Atletico went to a more defensive approach and Barcelona dominated possession from then on. The first half ended all square and the onus was the home side to beat the 10 men Atletico Madrid.

The second half of the match saw the home side dominating possession and creating chances, but Jan Oblak was saving everything coming his way and he was almost looking unbeatable on the day. Atletico also had their half chances from set pieces but they just weren't creating enough to trouble the Barca keeper.

Around the 85th minute of the match, Suarez opened the scoring for the home side with a belter of a strike from 20-yards-out. He took a touch, and with his right foot slammed it into the bottom corner.

Messi doubled the scoring just one minute after Barcelona's first goal and it was a typical Messi goal. He took up the ball on the right side, surged into the box, beating a couple of defenders, and calmly slotted it into the back of the net.

This victory means that Ernesto Valverde's men sit comfortably on top of the LaLiga table, 11 points clear of Atletico Madrid. Here's how Twitter reacted to another brilliant performance from Lionel Messi.
