Barcelona played host to Serie A side A.S. Roma for the first-leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final clash as all eyes were expectedly on Barca's resident demi-god Lionel Messi. The diminutive Argentine, however, was marked expertly by Roma's defence, thereby rendering him far more silent than he usually is. That didn't stop Barcelona, though, as they huffed and puffed until they blew the house down.To make matters worse for Roma, 2 of the 4 goals conceded happened to come off of their own players, and Twitter mercilessly trolled them for the pair of own goals. Gerard Pique and Luis Suarez also found their way onto the scoresheet as they gave the Catalans a menacing final first-leg 4-1 win.Naturally, Twitter erupted as fans thronged to the social media platform to voice their opinions. Here are some of the best tweets we found:Barcelona fans were understandably ecstatic after their side ultimately thrashed Roma, and had a lot to say about the result.Too easy 😜 #BarcelonaRoma #Barcelona #Messi— yara matta (@yaramatta) April 4, 2018When you ball so hard you have the other team score for you ⚽️ #BarcelonaRoma #Barcelona #Messi— Mario Mendez (@MarioMendezzz) April 4, 2018As Roma player sworn not to allow #Barcelona to score today.
