Twitter reacts as Gonzalo Higuain scores a brace at Stamford Bridge

Chelsea struggled in front of goal when they had Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud as the only two centre-forwards, but Gonzalo Higuain certainly seems to be on a different level as compared to them. The Argentine opened the scoring for the Blues at Stamford Bridge against Huddersfield. The Argentine's powerful shot from close range left the opponent keeper helpless.

His second for the club came in the second half and ensured victory for his side. From outside the box, Higuain delivered an accurate shot into the top corner of the net leaving Jonas Lössl unable to do much to prevent the goal. Indeed, it has not taken long for the striker to adapt to the Premier League and also to his team's style of football.

The 31-year-old could have scored a hat-trick in his debut at Stamford Bridge, but he failed to. Hie performance summed up an incredible day for the home team, who endured an embarrassing thrashing against Bournemouth in midweek.

The Juventus loanee had a great start when he joined AC Milan earlier in the season. However, after a few matches, his goal-scoring form dipped. Chelsea were in need of a reliable striker, someone like Higuain. Morata and Giroud misfired on multiple occassions, leaving Sarri frustrated and Chelsea out of the top four, but now it seems like Chelsea's problems in front of goal are solved.

Higuain also seemed to link up well with Eden Hazard, who also bagged a brace.

For now, Chelsea are temporarily safe in the top four, with Arsenal starting their next against Manchester City when they play on Sunday evening as underdogs.
