Liverpool has booked a place in the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League after defeating Napoli 1-0 at Anfield on Tuesday. The Reds went into the encounter facing possible elimination, but Mohamed Salah produced the goods as Jugen Klopp’s side won against the Serie A giants.Liverpool started match-day 6 sitting in third place in Group C, behind both Paris Saint-Germain and Napoli. Knowing very well that only a win could save them, the Reds went all out at Anfield, with Salah’s first-half strike proving decisive. The Egyptian skipped past two Napoli defenders before coolly slotting past the onrushing David Ospina. The Reds created a host of chances thereafter, but could not add to their lead.In the second half, many more chances came Liverpool’s way, with Sadio Mane, especially, being responsible for a couple of gilt-edge misses. The 1-0 win over Napoli ensures that the English giants have now qualified for the last 16 of the Champions League, while Napoli drop into the Europa League places. Meanwhile, PSG finish as group leaders, having also beaten Red Star Belgrade 4-1 to move to 11 points.Whichever way you choose to look at it, Liverpool got the business done, although it didn’t come easy. Having finished as runners-up in Europe last season, the Reds will definitely be aiming to win the Champions League this time.Qualification may have come in the most difficult of ways, but football fans on Twitter have varying views on the game itself. For Liverpool fans, this was the perfect result ahead of their game against rivals Manchester United this Sunday. However, for other fans, the trolls would have to be dumped into a nearby bin after watching the Reds record victory over Napoli tonight. Here are some of the best tweets from fans:Tuchel "Anfield won't bother us" 4-3Nagelsmann "I am not overly in awe of this club" 4-2Carrera "We don't fear Anfield"7-0KDB "I don't think atmosphere matters" 3-0Neymar "Liverpool won't finish top 4"3-2Mertens "I saw the Anfield sign & thought, is this so special?" pic.twitter.com/7zNE6GfnxF— . Liverpool wasteful but great performance in energy, buildup, and in defence. The team still falls short of last season's devastating aura but I'd take this season's Liverpool any day. 🔴— Fiifi Anaman (@fiifianaman) December 11, 2018I still don't get why this Napoli fan was crying after Salah's goal. pic.twitter.com/N5o9DSx7BB— Zack (@memebigboy666) December 11, 2018
