It seems that the 2018/19 season is not for Jose Mourinho

We have witnessed another great UEFA Champions League draw, and it dropped a few great Champions League fixtures before the football fans. Each match is going to be exciting as always.

Fans of each team are looking confident as the draw held on Monday afternoon. But there are some fans who are not confident enough about the success of their club in the Champions League 2018/19.

Yes, I am talking about the fans of Manchester United.

Manchester United are going to face Paris Saint Germain as their opponent in the round of 16. No team wants to play against a team like Paris Saint Germain so early in the knockout stages.

The devastating trio of Neymar Jr, Kylian Mbappe and Edinson Cavani is ready for the knockout stages has scored more goals than any other trio in the top five leagues of Europe this season. The defence of Paris Saint Germain is as solid as their attack. They have the defensive-minded players like Thiago Silva, Marquinhos, and Kimpembe.

Paris Saint Germain tops the league with 44 points. They have scored 49 goals in the domestic league while conceded only ten times. They are still unbeaten in the Ligue 1 2018-19 season, and seems like they are going to hold the Ligue 1 Cup again as they are 10 points ahead of the 2nd place team.

Manchester United, who won the Champions League thrice before, is in quite a situation as nobody expected to face this kind of opponent so early in the tournament.

The Red Devils are at the 6th position of the league table as they have gathered only 26 points and are already struggling with their lackluster defensive works. The performance of superstars like Romelu Lukaku, Paul Pogba and Alexis Sanchez has been sub-par this season.

Mourinho yet to find the perfect lineup for his club as the Red Devils could bring the nightmare at the first knockout stage of the Champions League 2018-19.
