Liverpool ended Manchester City's cloak of invincibility with a pulsating 4-3 win at Anfield.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain opened the scoring for Liverpool with a long-range strike in the 9th minute, but Leroy Sane struck back with a superb solo effort in the 40th minute.

The floodgates opened for Liverpool after the second half, as Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Mo Salah scored in the space of 9 minutes to make it 4-1 to the Reds in the 68th minute and send Anfield wild.

There was a final twist at the end, as Bernardo Silva and Ilkay Gundogan scored in the final ten minutes to set the cat amongst the pigeons, but Jurgen Klopp's side held on to hand Pep Guardiola their first Premier League defeat of the season - and thus keep Arsenal's Invincibles record intact.
