Manchester United breathed new life into the Premier League title race with a comprehensive 2-0 win over Chelsea today. The result leaves the Blues only 4 points ahead of Tottenham Hotspur with 6 games left to play, while lifting the Red Devils to 5th place, just four points behind Manchester City with a game in hand.

Marcus Rashford opened the scoring after a beautiful through pass from Ander Herrera in the 8th minute, with a clever finish past Asmir Begovic. Chelsea were rocked in the second half, when Ander Herrera’s shot took a deflection via Kurt Zouma and then nestled in the net. United held out for the win, with Chelsea failing to get a shot on target in the entire game.

Here’s how Twitter reacted:

In stark contrast to the end of the game, the mood among United fans was positively despondent when the lineups revealed that Zlatan Ibrahimovic was rested and that Ashley Young was captain.

And then, Marcus Rashford scored – just the second teenager to score for Manchester United against Chelsea in the last 50 games – the other one being Federico Macheda!

This being United vs Chelsea, there were some ugly things on the pitch.

It wasn’t just Manchester United vs Chelsea, it was also Tottenham Hotspur vs Chelsea / Arsenal!

Ander Herrera was probably the MOTM :
