Twitter reacts as PFA announce Team of the Year

It's every player's dream to show the world what he's capable of and at the end of the day when all your hard work, dedication and willpower are given credit, you are simply elated.

The season is coming to a close and it's that time of the year when players look back at the past nine months and see how far they have come. They analyse how much they have improved and look forward to the next season with enthusiasm.

One key aspiration for any player is to get into the PFA Team of the Year, a starting XI chosen by the Professional Footballer's Association based on votes from fellow players.

PFA released the Team of The Year for this season this afternoon and as you can expect, Twitter had a field day!

Some were calling for changes!

Andrew Robertson and Ashley Young were much more worthy of the left-back spot on the TOTY. Not sure how Alonso’s made it there.

I think TOTY should have a DM or CM spot that is exclusively for defensive or holding midfielders so at least one makes it each year.

David Silva somehow managed to get into the PFA TOTY ahead of Özil. This is simply because he's a City player, he's been terrible this season.
