Twitter reacts to Barcelona's last-gasp win over Valencia

Lionel Messi scored the winner for Barcelona

Barcelona pulled off a stunning 3-2 win over Valencia, thanks to an injury-time winner and went top of La Liga. Lionel Messi opened the scoring in the 22nd minute after Andres Iniesta went off with a serious injury. Barca loanee Munir El-Haddadi scored the equaliser in the second half, with Rodrigo’s goal soon after giving Valencia the lead in the 56th minute.

Barcelona responded swiftly with Luis Suarez’s goal, before Messi converted a 94th minute penalty to win the game for the Blaugrana and break Los Che’s hearts. There was a controversial moment during Barcelona’s celebration as an object thrown from the crowd struck Neymar and a couple of Barcelona players. Lionel Messi then proceeded to exchange some harsh words with the Valencia fans at the Mestalla.

Predictably, Twitter had a field day with Real Madrid fans referencing Barcelona’s good luck with referees, while Barca fans expressed their distress at Iniesta’s injury and magic at Messi’s magic.
