Twitter reacts to hard-fought Barcelona win

Eibar provided one of the toughest games of the seasons for Barcelona. They played with high intensity right from the first whistle and were on top for the first 15 minutes of the game. Anyhow, Barca needed just one chance on which they immediately capitalised. Leo Messi's vision found Luis Suarez and the Uruguayan took it around Goalkeeper Marko Dmitrovic to give them the lead.

Suarez returned the compliment when he found Messi but the Argentinian hit the woodwork. Eibar continued working hard in the 2nd half, they were winning corners, tackles and recovering second balls and their Serbian goalkeeper was excellent in goal.

A second yellow card for Fabian Orellana in the 66th minute disrupted the rhythm and manager Jose Luis Mendilibar lost his temper. The team from Ipurua were getting close but lacked execution in the final third of the pitch.

New signing Phillipe Coutinho's pass in the box reached Messi but his shot was denied by Dmitrovic. However, the saved shot deflected off his box and fell right into the incoming Jordi Alba who tucked it away with his right foot and gave the La Liga leaders a 2-0 win.
