Another titanic clash at the Allianz Arena and another classic affair between the two European giants, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid. It was Madrid who ran out 2-1 winners on the night and take 2 valuable away goals to SpainIt was a slow start to the game, with both teams taking their time to settle in. It was Bayern who took the lead in the 28th minute through Joshua Kimmich. James Rodriguez's wonderful through ball to the German saw him gallop down the right wing and finish brilliantly past Keylor Navas.Bayern missed a couple of good chances and were punished for it in the 44th minute as Marcelo's thumping volley from the edge of the box left Ulreich with no chance. The teams went into half-time with nothing to separate between them. The second half started in similar fashion and Madrid surprisingly took the lead through substitute Marco Asensio following a counter-attack after Rafinha gave the ball away cheaply in the middle of the park.Bayern tried their best to get back in the game but they had to settle for half-chances. Madrid's defense stood strong as they take the advantage ahead of the second leg next week. Here's how Twitter reacted:Goals First:Kimmich with a powerful strike that beats Navas!!! #Bayern #HalaMadrid #BAYRMA pic.twitter.com/kIWUuUUFOJ— Rambo (@WelshRamsey) April 25, 2018Marcelo's equalizer. Bayern missed too many chances to kill the game, suffered two crushing injuries in the first half hour, conceded on the cusp of half time and conceded from a schoolboy error.
