Twitter trolls Arsenal after they blow up 1-goal lead to lose to Manchester City and return to 4th spot

Arsenal were handed their second successive defeat within a week at the hands of Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City as the Etihad outfit came back from a goal down to get all the 3-points against the Gunners. Arsene Wenger’s side were challenging for the title only last week and now find themselves battling for the 4th place.

Theo Walcott opened the scoring for Arsenal in the 5th minute before the visitors squandered a number of chances to double the lead in the first half. Manchester City equalised through Leroy Sane who was a touch offside as he raced through on goal latching on to David Silva’s peach of a through ball. Raheem Sterling scored the winner for Pep Guardiola’s side after cutting in from the right-flank, although according to manager Arsene Wenger even that goal was a bit dubious.

Twitter didn’t spare the London side and was especially brutal on Arsenal superstar Mesut Ozil, who had a dire game. Here are some of the best tweets from the game:
