Twitter trolls Liverpool after Reds crash out of FA Cup
VAR caused plenty of controversy but Liverpool's defence failed yet again
Liverpool crashed out of the FA Cup 4th Round for the third consecutive time as West Bromwich Albion managed a 3-2 win at Anfield in a thrilling cup tie.
Robert Firmino opened the scoring in the 5th minute, but just 72 seconds later, Jay Rodriguez equalized for West Brom. The Baggies striker turned the game on it's head with a goal in the 11th minute, after which VAR reigned supreme, as it disallowed a goal from Craig Dawson, before awarding a penalty to Liverpool minutes later - that Firmino missed!
An own goal from Joel Matip gave West Brom a 3-1 lead on the stroke of half-time, but Mo Salah gave the Reds hope in the 78th minute with a well-taken goal, but it was in vain.
Here's how Twitter reacted to this eventful game:
Look away, Liverpool fans!
There was no mercy for Virgil van Dijk and his Liverpool teammates:
VAR was front-and-centre in the game, with differing opinions from fans!
