Manchester United fans had to witness yet another lacklustre performance from their team as the Red Devils were handed the second consecutive defeat by Southampton at Old Trafford for the first time since 1969.
It was a disappointing attacking performance from United once again as they failed to get more than just one measly shot on target. The Saints, on the other hand, secured all the three crucial points with Charlie Austin’s late header taking the match away from the home team.

Louis van Gaal should’ve been sacked after Norwich in December. A month later and nothing’s changed apart from a couple of underserving wins

United are now so boring even Van Gaal can't bear to watch. pic.twitter.com/9yPC93bJTw

Incredible to recall that Ed Woodward appointed Van Gaal for his renowned "attacking football." #mufc

Manchester United mustered up just the one shot on target. Oh dear!

#MUFC board wouldn't care about the turgid football under Van Gaal unless it put precious revenue under threat. That threat is now very real
— Oliver Kay (@OliverKayTimes) January 23, 2016
Speechless. No desire, nobody wants to play for the shirt. I stuck by Van Gaal but it's time, there's no improvement from Moyes. Pathetic.

It has now reached a point where the person in charge of sacking the person in charge of sacking Van Gaal, needs to be sacked.
