Arsenal have to wait for securing their place in the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League after their collapse in the second half resulted in a draw against their Belgian opponents Anderlecht.

Arsene Wenger’s men took a 3-0 lead at the Emirates by the hour mark and looked to be heading into a comfortable win. Mikel Arteta opened the scoring by converting from the spot kick in style while Alexis Sanchez brilliant volley made it 2-0 before Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s 58th minute strike put the Gunners in a commanding position.

But Anderlecht responded and spoiled the night for the hosts as Anthony Vanden Borre struck twice - the second from the penalty spot - to give them hope before Aleksandar Mitrovic snatched a dramatic equaliser at the death.
