United sets sight on City's transfer targets

Sir Alex Ferguson is on the hunt for Manchester City‘s top two targets which could provoke Roberto Mancini ahead of the Manchester derby on Saturday.

Daily mail revealed that Manchester United‘s chief executive Daniel Gill flew to Croatia for talks about signing Dinamo Zagreb’s 16-year old sensation Alen Halilovic.

Gill also reportedly held talks for 20-year-old right back Sime Vrsaljko and they could close a £20m double deal for the young prospects.

Another City target, Dinamo Dinamo midfielder Mateo Kovacic, also seems to be involved in his discussions.

Halilovic is also reportedly being closely watched by Real Madrid and the teenage sensation has been on the radar ever since Dinamo’s sporting director Zdravko Mamicrevealed that, ‘I have seen the reports about City offering £7m for Alen, but that would not even buy his left leg.’

Mancini was infuriated last time when Man City failed to get Robin Van Persie and it looks like the Red Devils could repeat the same.
