Uruguay’s Diego Forlan scores his team’s second goal in the international friendly between Japan and Uruguay

Tokyo - Uruguay posted a 4-2 victory over Japan in a football friendly in Miyagi here today.

Uruguayan striker Diego Forlan scored for his team in the 27th minute as he got a pass by Luis Suarez from left side and put the ball into Japan’s net.

Two minutes later, the striker made use of a free kick and Japanese goalkeeper Eiji Kawashima failed to clear the shot.

In the second half, the two sides played an open game. In the 52nd minute, Suarez, capitalised on a mistake by Japanese defender Yoshida who failed to clear Maximiliano Pereira’s pass and buried the third goal for his team.

Japanese super star Kagawa scored for his team as he rolled the ball into an empty net after a Honda pass found its way through.

Four minutes later, Gonzalez headed in Rodriguez’ cross for his team’s fourth in the 58th minute.

Honda retaliated in the 73rd minute and scored a peach of a free kick for the hosts.
