Juan Mata celebrates scoring his last goal for Chelsea.

It has been a year since Juan Mata’s last goal in the Chelsea shirt when he had scored for the Blues during a League Cup match between Chelsea and Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on October 29, 2013.

Mata scored the second for Chelsea after defender Cesar Azpilicueta had given them the lead with his first goal in the Blue shirt in the 25th minute. Following a throw-in from Ryan Bertrand and a flick by Samuel Eto’o to set up for Mata, the Spaniard released a curling effort that found its way past the goalkeeper.

Mata now is a Manchester United player after both the sides agreed for a fee of £37.1 million in January early this year.
