Video: Cristiano Ronaldo visibly upset with Iker Casillas after his mistake led to Atletico's opening goal
Cristiano Ronaldo’s return from a two-match ban against Atletico Madrid definitely didn’t go to plan as Real were thrashed 4-0 by their crosstown rivals. The fact that it was a derby loss made it all the more embarrassing for Ronaldo and all the other superstars at the club.
The first goal that Atletico scored was predominantly due to Iker Casillas’ fault, who failed to make a straightforward save from Tiago’s shot. Naturally, the goal was a setback to Real, as it was quite early in the match, and it left them with a mountain to climb.
Ronaldo, too, was not very happy with what had transpired, as he showed his unhappiness at the goal, and expressed his frustration quite openly. His body language indicated that he expected better.
As is natural, a club like Real would have definitely expected better from their captain and long-standing goalkeeper Iker Casillas.
