Cristiano Ronaldo was in the stands during Real Madrid’s 4-1 win over Real Sociedad on Saturday

While serving the two-match ban handed to him by the by the disciplinary committee of the Spanish Football Federation for his violent conduct during Real Madrid’s 1-2 away win over Cordoba last week, a video footage of Cristiano Ronaldo training hard has been released by Spanish agency AS.

The Portugal national team captain was seen putting on extra work on his training in an attempt to return to his best with only a week left before Real Madrid travel to the Vicente Calderón Stadium for their away tie against arch-rivals Atletico Madrid.

According to AS, Ronaldo was specifically working more in the patellar tendon which has been troubling him since last season.

Real Madrid’s recent form against the Rojiblancos has been nothing more than disappointing for Ronaldo and Co., and despite having a game in hand and a four-point lead, Real Madrid would want to get all the three points available for grabs.

The 29-year-old forward was unavailable for selection for manager Carlo Ancelotti during Real Madrid's 4-1 win over Real Sociedad, but he was still seen in the stands, watching his team-mates play with his son, Cristiano Jr.
