Knowing that the focus is on him, the Brazilian takes the corner with a twist. He decided to do a rabona wherein he ran in as though he was about to kick the ball with his right foot, which is his unnatural foot, to only move his left foot around his right and kick it with his natural left foot.
The ability to generate that level of accuracy and power while taking a rabona was something truly remarkable and showed the inherent power he possesses. Teammate Thiago Alcantara was standing next to him while Costa attempted the feat.
The best part about the whole goal – the fact that Douglas Costa didn't celebrate his goal and thought it to be something very normal, showing his audacity. Not many players can perform this skill with such perfection, and that is something worth admiring.
