Video: Douglas Costa's rabona corner-kick goal is truly special

Douglas Costa scored a great rabona corner kick goal in training

Bayern Munich's tricky Brazilian winger is known for outwitting defenders on the field with his speed and skill. Costa is also one of the most dangerous wingers in European football currently, having excelled for Bayern since his move in the summer.

The Brazilian has already enthralled fans across the world with his extravagant play and has shown himself to be a great attacking threat to the opposition this season. With the team resuming their season post the winter break recently, the winger will be looking to continue his good performances.

Known to be one who is comfortable playing on either wing, Costa has shown very well that he has the necessary quality to cut it at the highest level, following his €30 million move from Ukranian team Shakhtar Donetsk, having scored 5 goals and given 10 assists so far.

The video shows Costa in training where he is being filmed taking a corner kick, with emphasis on ensuring that the ball goes into the goal. Knowing that the focus is on him, the Brazilian takes the corner with a twist. He decided to do a rabona wherein he ran in as though he was about to kick the ball with his right foot, which is his unnatural foot, to only move his left foot around his right and kick it with his natural left foot.

The ability to generate that level of accuracy and power while taking a rabona was something truly remarkable and showed the inherent power he possesses. Teammate Thiago Alcantara was standing next to him while Costa attempted the feat.

The best part about the whole goal – the fact that Douglas Costa didn't celebrate his goal and thought it to be something very normal, showing his audacity. Not many players can perform this skill with such perfection, and that is something worth admiring.
