Video: Eboue looking forward to facing old side Arsenal in Emirates Cup

The 2013 Emirates Cup will see Galatasaray competing with Porto, Napoli and hosts Arsenal.

Head coach Fatih Terim believes the two-day tournament offers his side the best possible opportunity to improve their fitness levels ahead of their Super Cup clash with Fenerbahce next week.

Fatih Terim, Galatasaray manager (on the Turkish FA’s new ruling that only six foreign players can be on the pitch at any time):

“This is not healthy, only allowing six foreign players on the pitch at any time. I think it is so the Turkish players can have chances but this is not a good way of looking at it – it is very narrow minded. I said to our Federation that there shouldn’t be restrictions on foreign players. These decisions should not be made like this. They need to look at this carefully.”

Fatih Terim, Galatasaray manager:

“It’s good for my players to have this good experience here before the Super Cup in Turkey. We will focus on our play, not our results. We will think about improving our play.”

Emmanuel Eboue, Galatasaray defender and former Arsenal player:

“To be honest, I’m so happy to come back here to play against my old team and my old team mates. I hope that tomorrow and Sunday, the party will be nice. I’m so happy to come back here to play.”
