Defender Shabir Khan of Worcester City was sent off in the most bizzarre fashion. In a match against Stockport County in the Vanarama Conference North, Khan body slammed midfielder Charlie Russell.
Yes, you read that right – a body slam!
On a day when Chelsea’s Nemanja Matic was sent off for reacting to a dangerous tackle by Ashley Barnes of Burnley, Khan took matters into his own hands, literally.
In an amalgamation of WWE and football, Khan picked up Russell, after being on the receiving end of a horrible tackle by the midfielder, and slammed him into the ground, WWE style.
A mass brawl ensued between both sets of fans and Russell was subbed off soon after.
