Jose Mourinho may still not have a full-time job yet, but he’s still pretty active pitch-side when he has the chance. And not just on the touchline, as this video shows.

The Portuguese boss has been sounded out for various managerial posts from clubs and national teams alike after he was sacked by Chelsea in December last year. The sacking was due to a poor run of form with the defending Premier League champions in his third season at Stamford Bridge.

But this week, the 53-year-old was in charge of a team – just not one that plays regularly. He was in charge of a FIFA Legends team that played an exhibition game against the Mexico All-Stars. It was a game that was played prior to the 66th FIFA Congress in Mexico City.

However, it seems his poor form had followed him here as well. His team was losing 8-9 in the 9-a-side match in spite of having players such as Ronaldinho, Carles Puyol, Luis Figo and Samuel Eto’o. In the final moments, he decided enough was enough and showed his players exactly how to get the job done.

With the Mexican threatening to counter-attack on the left flank, Mourinho himself ran on to the pitch to make an interception, forcing the referee to blow the whistle. It was all in good humour, of course, as the referee also blew the full-time whistle.

When asked about where he would be managing next season, Mourinho said: “I’m looking to go to the hotel, have a nice dinner and enjoy the night with my guys.

“Look, I’m looking for a new job but I lost the game here today so probably I’ll have no club,” he jokingly concluded.
