It was a forgettable night for David Moyes’ team as the players missed four of five penalties in a 2-1 penalty shootout defeat that allowed Sunderland to progress to theCapital One Cup final last night.

Phil Jones did more than just miss the penalty. He sent his effort over the bar as the ball marred against a fan sitting at the back.
