This is so Robben-like! And, in no way it is wrong to describe this goal as such as it has become so generic now that even the opponents see it coming. But, it is the brilliance of Dutch winger Arjen Robben that has him pull off the same sort of goal almost every other week.
The goal came during Bayern Munich’s eight goal rout of Hamburg as they maintained their eight-point lead at the top of the table. Robben, Mario Gotze and Thomas Muller grabbed braces while Robert Lewandowski and Franck Ribery added to the tally.
But it was Robben’s first goal that was the pick of the bunch as he scored it in his trademark fashion – cutting inside from the right, he launches a lethal shot from his left foot that goes right into the top left corner.
