Southampton manager Ronald Koeman was visibly on a high after his side crushed Sunderland 8-0 in a Premier league clash on Saturday night justifying his selection as manager of the month just a day prior to the match. The Saints now lie third on the table with a goal difference of +14 which is only second to Chelsea.
The Dutchman thanked Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho as the inspiration for the huge win. Mourinho had earlier said that he was happy to miss out on the Manager of the Month trophy as the title was jinxed.
“No, first of all I think that Ronald deserves it. He's a great guy he's a good friend we worked together for a while, I am so happy that he arrived in England and things are going well for him.
