Santi Cazorla celebrates scoring a goal for Arsenal with Olivier Giroud and Alexis Sanchez against Manchester City

It was Spaniard Santi Cazorla who was pulling all the strings for Arsenal during their brilliant 0-2 win at the Etihad against Premier League Champions Manchester City. After opening the scoring for the Gunners from the penalty spot, the former Malaga midfielder was at it again after he set up a goal for striker Oliver Giroud to score.

One of the highlights, to take away from the match, is definitely his 40-yard-run after he was successful in winning the ball inside the Arsenal box, and then dribbling past several Manchester City defender in the process.

“Santi Cazorla has been superb for a while now but today he was maybe even more influential,” a delighted Arsene Wenger told BBC following the match.

"The way the whole team defended gave him a lot of the ball, and when you give him the ball you always have a chance to relieve pressure. [In our performance] you felt the great unity, solidarity, togetherness and compactness in our team," he added.

Cazorla, who was also adjudged as the man of the match, enjoyed a passing success rate of 91.5% with his 59 passes and 4 crosses which includes two key chances for Arsenal. His all-around performance saw him complete 10 successful dribbles and 2 tackles.
