Video: Shakhtar Donetsk secure 3-1 away win over Sevastopol

Shakhtar Donetsk maintained their winning start to the season following a 3-1 win away to Sevastopol.

The home side now have just one point from their two games so far in the Ukrainian Premier League.

Sevastopol hosted Shakhtar Donetsk with the home side looking for their first win of the new season.

However it was the visitors who took the lead in the 25th minute.

Brazilian striker Fred converted from close range after Luiz Adriano had rolled the ball into his path.

Taison spurned the chance to to double Shakhtar’s lead when he shot straight at goalkeeper Igor Litovka in the 43rd minute.

Denis Kozhanov levelled the scoring on the hour mark when he slammed home a left-footed strike on the edge of the penalty area.

Luiz Adriano restored Shakhtar’s lead in the 78th minute when he slotted home after Taison had squared the ball to the striker deep inside the penalty box.

Substitute Wellington Nem added a third in the 89th minute after Alex Teixeira’s initial shot had rebounded into his path, leaving the Brazilian with the simplest of finishes.

That win moves Shakhtar level at the top of the table on six points, alongside Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk and Metalist.

Sevastopol stay in ninth with just one point from their opening two matches.
