You may have heard of the phrase, ‘Killing two birds with one stone’. But, have you ever seen that happen in football?
Borussia Dortmund’s defensive midfielder, Sven Bender did the football version of the above phrase.
In a Bundesliga match between Dortmund and Hoffenheim, Sven Bender slid in for the ball and won it despite pressure from two Hoffenheim players. On top of that, the Hoffenheim players fell on top of each other while Bender just walked away with the ball.
Bender is well known for his tackling, but how this particular tackle turned out was quite a spectacle
