Six wins and a draw from seven matches have seen Viktoria go to the top of the Czech league standings and Pavel Vrba’s side recorded six straight wins in qualifying for the Champions League group phase.
But they now face a tough task in tackling last season’s Champions League winners, Bayern Munich as well as CSKA Moscow and Manchester City.
And the Viktoria Plzen boss spoke about the quality of the Man City side -
Pavel Vrba, Viktoria Plzen coach, said: “Manchester City have great players, very technical and fast. I warned my players that we can’t afford to have too many touches, because City are quite aggressive, and technically superior. Any mistakes we make will be quickly punished.”
Two years ago in their maiden campaign, Viktoria finished third in a group containing Barcelona.
