Manchester United’s second signing of the ongoing transfer window – Zlatan Ibrahimovic – has trained with the club for the very first time. The 34-year-old signed for the Old Trafford outfit for a free earlier in the window, after his contract with Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain expired.

Ibrahimovic had spent four seasons at the Parc des Princes – his longest stint at any club – and had scored an impressive 156 goals in 180 games, while also winning 12 trophies, which included four consecutive Ligue 1 titles.

There has been much buzz about the arrival of the mercurial striker and the Manchester United faithful have been waiting to catch a glimpse of Ibrahimovic in action for their beloved club. While they will have to wait further for seeing him don the famous Red and Black jersey of the Red Devils, their wait for witnessing him train with the club has come to an end.

It is possible that the 34-year-old will make his long awaited Manchester United debut in the game against Galatasaray at Gothenburg on 30th July. Ibrahimovic is currently on a special training regime for a week, during which he will be training alone away from the squad.

The former Barcelona and Juventus striker has been assigned the number 9 jersey at Old Trafford, which was Anthony Martial’s number prior to Zlatan’s arrival. The Frenchman has since been assigned the number 11 jersey, which previously belonged to Adnan Januzaj.

Jose Mourinho has signed three players ever since his arrival at Old Trafford earlier in the summer, which includes Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Eric Bailly along with Ibrahimovic. Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba is also close to completing a world record move to Manchester United and with his arrival, the Red Devils will surely be one of the favorites to win the English Premier League this season.
