West Ham boss Sam Allardyce has launched a scathing attacking on Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho insisting that the west Londoners have ‘thrown away’ this season’s Premier League title.

The Englishman and Portuguese clashed in late January when the Hammers took a point from the Blues at Stamford Bridge in a game where Mourinho accused the visitors of employing tactics akin to ’19th century football’.

Ironically, the same criticisms were lobbed at the Chelsea boss after he employed a similar defensive approach in Chelsea’s 2-0 win over Liverpool at Anfield recently, where Brendan Rodgers was moved to criticise his tactics, claiming the Blues parked two buses in front of the Kop.

Allardyce hit back after Chelsea played out a goalless draw to Norwich on Sunday , all but ending their hopes of winning a trophy this season.

He is quoted to have said Mourinho’s side have “more than anybody else thrown the [Premier] League away this year”.

Chelsea have failed to score a goal at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League from their last 49 shots.
