Cristiano Ronaldo is arguably the most famous name in the world of football. Despite Lionel Messi's undoubted qualities, Ronaldo has amassed a fan following both within and outside footballing circle, that eclipses Messi's; for his immaculate physique, for his attention to glamour and trends, for his ostentatious style of living, for the humanity he exhibits on his charity endeavours and the perseverance he displays on the football pitch.

Born as the youngest of four children, Ronaldo hails from a very modest background. Ronaldo's mother Dolores was a chef and his father Dinis was the town hall gardener. Having shared a room with his brother and two sisters in his house in Santo Antonio, it is safe to say a young Ronaldo would have been content with a room to himself. But look where he is now.

With 200 million plus followers across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, every aspect of Ronaldo's life is a headline – where he lives, who he dates, which car he drives, which team mate he had a row with, the list goes on and on.

The inside of Cristiano Ronaldo's house, in a similar vein, would evoke curiosity in the mind of every fan of the Portuguese. Kudos to Ronaldo then, who decided to provide his fans with a video tour of his residence in late 2015.

It is situated in the La Finca part of Pozuelo de Alarcon, a little town on the outskirts of Madrid, where Gareth Bale and Zinedine Zidane also own properties. It is of course just one of the many houses/hotels he owns. The house is reported to have cost £4.8 million.

Somewhat surprisingly, a statue of buddha resides outside the Portugal player's enormous black shiny front door. Ronaldo leads us through the entrance to his room, gesturing at a porcelain dog by the door.

Inside the room, the camera focuses on a cosy luxury double bed, joined by a comfortable looking couch and a night lamp hung by the side, lending the room an aura of elegance in addition to the visible opulence.

In the hall, the furniture and TV look befitting of one of the richest football players in the world. An elaborate dining table comes into view, with a flower vase neatly placed in the middle. As with the rest of the house, the theme remains black – lending a classy touch to the Real Madrid player’s meals.

As we are led out to the back door, more black themed furniture and elegant flower vases greet us on the way. Outside Ronaldo's apartment, a lush green training patch comes into view, complete with nets. The trees are decorated in the spirit of Christmas, and Ronaldo Junior is visible in the background, near the nets with the ball at his feet.

Ronaldo recently expanded his property business with a second boutique ‘Pestana CR7’ hotel in Portugal’s capital, following the first one in his native Funchal in Madeira. The hotels are completely tuned to theme Ronaldo – with Ronaldo memorabilia, signed shirts and even personalised workout programs available.

With plans ongoing to open two more Pestana CR7 hotels – in Madrid and New York – Ronaldo is expanding his interest in the property business. If you are in any of these cities and feel your pocket is too heavy, be sure to drop in for a truly CR7 experience.
