Who will Chelsea sign on Deadline Day?

Any late moves?

Chelsea have had a quiet transfer window so far. The Blues have signed Ross Barkley from Everton and also sealed the signing of AS Roma left-back, Emerson Palmieri.

The Everton midfielder reportedly cost Chelsea just £15 million while Emerson is said to have cost around £17.6 million. The deals were absolute steals compared to what other players are going for in this inflated transfer market.

However, Chelsea fans are not happy with the business done. The Blues have let Charly Musonda join Celtic on loan until the end of the season and are allegedly on the verge of sending Michy Batshuayi to Borussia Dortmund for the same period.

In terms of incoming transfers on Deadline Day, there will be only one at Chelsea: Olivier Giroud. The French striker will be joining for £18 million from Arsenal and will be the third and final signing of the window.

Giroud had the option of joining Dortmund as a part of the Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang deal but he chose to stay in London. When Chelsea came calling, he reportedly jumped at the chance and informed the Gunners that he is keen on moving to the London rivals.

The French striker will be the backup to Alvaro Morata now and will be providing him with a stiff competition for the starting role – something Michy Batshuayi failed to do this season. The Belgian boasts of an impressive 'goals-per-minute' ratio but was not that effective in connecting with the teammates on the pitch.

Antonio Conte was not putting enough trust into him as well, and often opted to start Eden Hazard as a false 9 when Morata was unavailable. The Belgian striker was clearly unhappy with this and was keen on moving to a club where he can play regularly.

Borussia Dortmund are the ones who came calling and he's reportedly agreed on a deal to join them. The move is set to be completed once Giroud has put pen to paper at Chelsea.
