Reports coming in from various sections of European media today suggest that Italian giants Juventus are preparing a €175m bid for Liverpool's Egyptian superstar Mohamed Salah. The Sun is reporting that the transfer could be a possibility this summer.

If the move does materialize, it would go down as one of the costliest transfers ever in the history of the game.

Juventus initiated a long-term project last year when they signed Cristiano Ronaldo in a big-money transfer from Real Madrid. With plenty of attacking talent still at the club, it is surprising to see that Juventus have been linked with a move for Salah next summer.

But would Salah actually be a good signing for Juventus? There are several factors that suggest he would.

Ronaldo is 34 years old, and may not be a long-term central figure at Juventus. Although he might still stay at the club for a few more years, Juventus would also be looking to plan for the future.

Paulo Dybala is one of the candidates to lead the Turin-based club in the future, but the Argentine is reportedly unhappy at the club and is looking for a move. With the available options in the market, Salah could be a good choice for the Serie A leaders.

Salah has already been a part of the Italian league with AS Roma in the past. Although he was not as successful there as he has been with Liverpool, the Egyptian still understands the nuances of Italian football.

Moreover, Douglas Costa has strongly been rumored with a move to Manchester United, and his exit would open an obvious vacancy at the right flank for the side. Salah would then be a perfect fit in the squad.

However, it should also be noted that Juventus are investing big on their players, and yet another high-value move may have to be balanced with a few exits. They would have to make sure that any bid for Salah does not affect the balance of their team, which is now dominating the Italian League.
