Wolverhampton Wanderers have had an excellent season so far, as they have given every team a hard time (including the big sides), and Raul Jimenez has played a big part in getting results for the side. At a price of £6.2 in FPL, he is the most consistent striker in the league.
Consistently, he has supplied an assist, or has scored a goal. Very rarely has he not impacted a game. The only 2 games where he has played full-time and not scored or assisted were against Manchester City and Huddersfield.
He has registered 5 goals in the Premier League at the moment, and has assisted 4 for his side as well. Jimenez is a very hard working lad who will do anything to win the ball, and that makes him even more dangerous for his opponents.
He is the biggest gift to FPL managers, as he measures up to the big team strikers at such a low cost. The in-form number 9 is sure to score more goals, and give assists as the season progresses.
Jimenez is a very impactful player who can lead the Wolves side to get more goals, and he is a huge counter-attacking threat for any opponent. His pace and strength play a big role during counters.
Wolves as a team have excellent statistics which can compare to even the big sides, and with time Nuno Espirito's side may grow to challenge the top four (if this doesn't end up to be a one season wonder).
Jimenez plays a big part in that.
Almost all attacks go through the striker at some point, and that helps him get the goals or assists. He has great distribution, whether he needs to play the ball long or near, and he is a very trustworthy player with and without the ball.
On his day he can completely change a game, and on his worst, he can still pull off an assist with all the support he gets from the team. Doherty (£5.1) being a right-back, is almost his striking partner, as they complete each other as teammates.
This duo is more like the Mahrez and Vardy of the old Leicester team (which won the title). Maybe these two could help propel their team, and try to hit the top 4 at least. With the way City and Liverpool are killing it, there is no stopping them, but maybe Wolves could finish somewhere near them.
Who knows the near future? Only time can tell.
But one thing is certain, Jimenez is one of the best, not only for his price, but also overall (competing with the big team strikers).
